That puts me at 11.4 more before July 4th to make it to my 20 lbs in 12 weeks goal! *Sigh* I know that it is not possible, even if I fast and pray for the next two weeks to hit that goal, but at least I am getting close and I am officially out of that rut that I was in 10 weeks ago! I am also very thankful for this accountability I have created for myself by posting about this journey. (Oh and if you see someone walking around with a black eye, it might be because yet another person asked me if I was pregnant, or suggested I not do something "in my condition"! You know when I was 46 lbs heavier and got pregnant with Kirstyn, NO ONE asked me that question because it was so obvious that I was just FAT but now I seem to be losing weight everywhere other than in my belly! ugh!!!)
Today in our meeting we talked about what has worked for you and what hasn't worked for you! For example, what has worked for me is journaling everything I put into my mouth and having a variety of fruit on hand and ready to eat (like washed grapes in a bowl in the refrigerator or apples out on the counter). Blogging is also working for me! What hasn't worked for me is having on hand low point cookies and low point chips because I tend to overeat those! Tell me, what has worked for you?
Oh having low points cookies only works for me if I take 4 points worth and hand them over to my kids to finish off immediately! LOL
You are doing WONDERFUL on your weight loss! It is hard. And most people don't know how hard because they don't try. But it is just really hard to do this, and you are doing so well!
Keep up the good work, and later those same people thinking you are expecting will be wolf whistling at ya ;) :D
Good for you, Natalie! Going down after being away is an accomplishment, even if you were hoping for more!
What's worked for me? Blogging. My treadmill. 2 point chocolate bars (believe it or not...I CAN eat just one...a miracle I think). Having veggies on hand. Counting points (I don't necessary journal, but I do always know the point value of everything and have a tally running), light ice cream and my low fat muffins. I'm sure there's more...but that's what I can think of for now. Oh ya...popcorn and BECEL SPRAY. Love the stuff. And my diet cola.
Way to go!!! You lost even after being away! That is AMAZING!!!! I have to agree with you on the low point chips and cookies. It's really hard not to eat too many of them. I've found it especially hard having family in town and running here or there. I need to sit back and re-evaluate and pay attention to what I'm throwing in my mouth. Those 1 pt WW chocolate chip cookies are just SO FLIPPIN' GOOD! The things that work for me is keeping a tally of ALL I eat, drinking TONS of water, exercise and portion control! :)
Don't worry about not meeting your goal by July 4 because YOU HAVE DONE AWESOME! You will meet it, and that's all that matters.
And totally sock those people, JEESH! I guess you can use as motivation to keep going although I think it's just people who need glasses ;-) They are likely the same people who say, Oh isn't that a cute baby boy! to a baby who head to toe dressed in pink!
KEEP IT UP!
You are doing so well - 46 lbs total is fantastic. It's not easy but you are doing it. Keep it up.
that is right...a loss is a loss.
what works for me...sticking to the journeling...and allowing myself SOME treats.
what doesn't work...sometimes I let those treats get the best of me and go overboard.
