Tell All Tuesday - Week 28

For those of you waiting anxiously for my weigh in results.... DOWN 1.2! Yeah! I have entered a new decade of weight (barely) but still, I'll take it. Of course that means I loose another flex point but at least it is worth it!

Today after WW, I went to Costco to grab some necessary items for the house and stumbled across some very cute jeans and khaki pants. I used to not stop and look at these items because at Costco they usually don't carry anything larger than a 16 much less the 18 or 20 that I needed. Well, today I bought 12's and the khakis are a little big!

Today, someone in the meeting mentioned that in most 12 step programs there is a step called HALT. He said that you have to watch yourself when you are Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired. So true. The point is, you will always have these situations but you have to have a plan. Before, if I was one of these things I would bake. Well, now if I wanted to bake it would require a trip to the store or I would have to bake some whole wheat muffins or something because I don't keep butter, white flower, or brownie mixes on hand at the house. I also know that I can go to the gym even when I don't feel like it and afterwards I will be glad I did rather than regretting something that I ate.

Whether you are on a weight journey or not.... What is something you do that makes you feel better when you are hungry, angry, lonely or tired?

We ended the meeting with a quote that I really liked, "If hunger is not the problem, then food won't fix it."

I like that quote. That used to be me. I used to eat every time that I got stressed out, now I don't. I feels so good to know that I've got that point under control. And if I really feel like I need to eat something when I'm stressed, well the only thing I have on hand to snack on is fresh fruit!

Congratulations on all of your hard work! I used to bake when I was down too, but now I either find something to clean, or I go for a run(which is something I've only been doing since Alex was about 5 or 6 months old)

You are doing so good. Keep going! Size 12's are too big...that is awesome! I also like that quote. Thanks for sharing. That is one I will have to write down & pass on.

Steady one! You're doing so great. It felt so good when I could wear Costco clothes too! Now it's the first place I stop when I walk in to see if there are any sales...don't have to stop at just looking at the kids clothes anymore. I'm glad for you.

That is so true, food really doesn't fix anything that ails us but we all try it don't we?

I usually like to "fix" whatever is bothering me and if I can't, I love to talk about it with my husband and/or a really good friend. It almost always helps.

I am right between size 14 and 16 right now. I would LOVE to be a 12. I'm working on it... enjoy your success!
