Okay, so I have to say that I LOVE my
Crocs flip flops. I wear them all of the time and they are super comfortable. Well, one afternoon while playing outside with the kiddos and working in my garden I got my favorite shoes muddy. Well, of course the kids were some muddy too so I just kicked my shoes off at the back door so that I could deal with the rest of the mud. My plan was to let the mud dry so that I could knock it all off and go back to wearing them non-stop. So much for that idea.... Crocs SHRINK! Just look! My brown pair is the exact same size (or was) as the black pair! I was so mad! Guess Crocs should add a warning that they shrink when muddy and then heated by the Texas sun!

no kidding? wow. I didn't know that.
ReplyDeleteI have the mary jane style crocs and I adore them. Usually if they are muddy though, I rinse them with the hose and that is that. Luckily mine have never shrank, but I will be sure to not let them sit out...I love them too much!
I don't think it was the mud that did it. I left mine outside in the blazing Texas sun and they flipped inside out making them unwearable. They might be a size smaller too. I didn't check, just threw them away.
ReplyDeleteThat just sucks! Can't say I'm a big fan of crocs though.
ReplyDeleteWow - and they are not cheap either. They should come pre-shrunk! LOL. Sorry about that though.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that! I would take them back and ask them to replace them, if it was me... :-p
ReplyDeleteSo they're made from the same material as Shrinky Dinks! The Crocs secret is out. . . .
ReplyDeleteThat stinks! Live and learn hey...
ReplyDeleteI washed my crocs in the dishwasher ('cause they say you can do that). The heated drying cycle made mine shrink too!!! Grrr.
ReplyDeleteWho knew? I am a fervent lover of Crocs and had no idea they would shrink. I love my mary janes and cleos. I haven't gotten any flip flops yet, but probably will next summer.
